For Students Who Have Been Identified as Gifted

2. Provide Qualifying Test Scores
If your child has already been identified as gifted by achieving qualifying scores on a state-approved testing instrument as listed by the Ohio Department of Education, those scores will need to be submitted for consideration. The scoring criteria can be found on the Ohio Department of Education’s website.
3. Submit certified transcripts from your child’s current academic institution
4. Submit a completed Teacher Referral Form
If You Believe Your Child May be Gifted, but Has Not Yet Been Identified.

If you believe your child may be gifted, but are unsure, we have the capabilities of identifying if your child is eligible for enrollment our gifted testing coordinator will schedule a screening. Following this screening and assessment, we will determine in enrolling in our school will be in your child’s best educational interests.

We understand that the process of enrolling your child in a school for the gifted is unique and we want you to be comfortable with your decision to apply. We would like to extend to you an invitation to visit our school, meet our educators, and gain a better understanding of what truly make us unique. We are so pleased that you have decided to explore the possibility of your child attending The Lewis Center for Gifted Learning. While we are hopeful that your child will be eligible for enrollment, there is a measure of protocol that must be followed in order to be accepted as a student at the center. At any time during the application process, please contact the center directly with any questions.
Once all of the above steps have been completed, the Admission Committee will review your application for admission. The review process is expedited quickly and you can expect to be notified within a matter of two weeks. If there is a case where further information is needed before an optimal placement decision can be made, a meeting with the parent may be scheduled.
Tuition & Financial Assistance
The tuition rate for The Lewis Center for Gifted Education is $6,500 per year, with an additional $500 activity fee.
Financial assistance is available for those who qualify based upon certain state program requirements. This assistance is available via Ohio’s Educational Choice Program.
